I’m a book nerd, but not even in a usual way. You won’t find me reading the latest fantasy, suspense or romance novel, nope, I’m the one hovered over the how- to guide. I have always been that way. I love learning new things from books. As soon as I’m interested in a new topic, I head straight for the library and check out everything they have on that subject.
This was true when I decided to stay home with our son. I know, I know there isn’t really a manual out there for SAHM, but it didn’t keep me from trying to find out more. This was my new venture in life, and I wanted to be good at it.
I hadn’t found the ideal book for my situation until now, almost 3 years later when I got my hands on a copy of You Can be a Stay at Home Mom on One Income.
It covers topics such as…
- Can you afford to stay home?
- Options for making money at home
- Saving on groceries, clothes, decor and other household items
- Secrets to couponing
- How to get things for free or highly discounted
- Lowering your bills and expenses, in general
- …and so much more
I have always considered myself pretty thrifty and there were still things I didn’t know. I’m excited to put these new tips to use next time we go out to eat or grocery shopping.
Even if you don’t stay at home, there is plenty to learn from this book. These days one of the questions on everybody’s mind is, “how can I be saving money?” So, if you’ve been wondering this yourself I know you will love this book.

I wonder what I could gleam from this! And I totally understand being the how-to book reader! I am a recent book worm convert, and I love reading some good non-fiction books! But, I still read novels too.

This sounds like a great book. I am trying to find ways to save money in our house. I have been out of work for a year now.
