This is the easiest scarf you will ever crochet! It’s made with one skein of yarn, and uses the basic single crochet stitch. It can be the perfect gift, or a nice cozy present for yourself through these terribly cold days.
A few years ago I found a pattern from Lion Brand Yarn to make a similar scarf using the Homespun yarn. It was a great project for a new crocheter, and I loved the feel of using this type of yarn. When I tried to find the pattern to remake this for a gift, of course, I couldn’t find the instructions anywhere. So, I decided to recreate the pattern from the best of my memory, and this is what I came up with.
What You Need:
1 skein of Homespun Yarn
N crochet hook
How To Make It:
Ch. 13
Row 1: sc into the 2nd chain from the hook and continue in each remaining stitch. 12 sc total.
Row 2: ch 1, turn, work 1 sc into each sc until you finish the row. 12 sc total.
Row 3 and up: repeat row 2 until you run out of yarn or your scarf reaches the desired length.
Secure the ends.

This is cute, I should make something like this for my sister in law. She loves scarves and I bet I could find some fancy yarn that suits her tastes.

I have never had much luck with crocheting. My daughter is good at it though. I will have to show her this pattern!

This is so pretty! I love scarves but can’t make one for anything. A lady at work just crocheted me one and I’m in love with it!

I’m always so jealous of people who can crochet. I’ve tried to teach myself with no luck (and YouTube videos are too confusing.) This looks beautiful though! If I ever get the courage to try it again, I will definitely be doing this!
