Please meet my new Janome sewing machine. I have never felt this way about a machine before, but yes, it’s love. I’m way out of my league on this one, my skills aren’t nearly up to par with what this little beauty can do, but I’ll get there.
Can you believe I won this!!!!! I can’t either, it’s hard to wrap my mind around that it is mine.
Every year Janome and my local sewing machine/ quilt shop (place of wonder) team up to give a new machine to a Project Linus Chapter Volunteers. There is a raffle and you can enter to win by going to the Blanket Days or donating blankets.
This year when you donated boy blankets you got two entries (that’s what helped me) Ok, even that isn’t enough to justify why I won, I know that there are plenty of woman who work very hard for our local chapter.
All I can say is I am BLESSED! This is the sewing machine of my dreams. I’m so thankful that my name was drawn. My new love and I hope to have many, many years together.
My first project, was none the less, a new sewing machine cover, with of course, my second love, Moda fabrics. The very cute Flirt Charm Pack that was lucky enough to be chosen for this project. I made it based roughly of my other sewing machine cover tutorial for machines with an extension table, because yes it came with that too.
Of course, this now opens a new world of possibilities for me sewing wise, and I can’t wait to share with you some new projects and the reasons I love Janome.
