No- Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies were a great childhood memory for me. It was one of the first recipes I asked my mom for after I left home, because I couldn’t wait to start fixing them for my little family. My husband who didn’t used to care for sweets even loved them. In fact, it’s such a favorite, it just so happens to be the cookie we leave out for Santa each Christmas.
Ingredients:
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 T. of cocoa
- 3 c. oatmeal
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 1 t. vanilla
Instructions:
- Mix sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to boil for 2 minutes. Take pan off burner.
- Add peanut butter, oatmeal and vanilla. Stir until everything is mixed well.
- Spoon onto wax paper. Refrigerate for a couple hours.
