Thank you to Stampin’ Up! for the supplies to create these Easy Tags, Tabs and Bookmarks, a quick craft project, perfect for your favorite book, planner, Bible Journal and they also make a sweet little gift.
I have recently discovered Bible Journaling, and I LOVE IT! I really enjoy being able to record my thoughts and prayers right there in my Bible, and it helps me remember so much more from my time in the Word. I have been wanting to find a creative way to mark where I have been in my Bible and to tab those places with the theme for later reference.
When I saw the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper I thought it would be the perfect material for my tabs. The colors and foil of the paper stand out without being too overwhelming, and the paper is a great quality thickness, so I knew it would stand up against daily use.
While I was making my tabs I made a few bookmarks and tags also for my Bible Journaling. My son wanted in on the paper crafting fun too, so we used the foil cloud paper to make him some bookmarks. He just started reading, so I was very excited to help him make little bookmarks for his books.
To create these easy tags, tabs and bookmarks I used…
- Paper Trimmer
- Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper
- Curvy Corner Trio Punch
- Watermelon Wonder 1” Stitched Satin Ribbon
To make these, I cut my paper 2″ x 6″ for the bookmarks, 2″ x 4″ for the tags and 3″ x 1″ for the tabs. Then I just used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch to decorate the edges and create that tab look. I love that the punch also cuts a slot for the ribbon. It really creates a polished look. I used a little tape to attach my tabs, but I think this would be a great time to use washi tape.
Look at how pretty my journaling Bible looks with the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper marking scripture that is special to me! I love the paper so much, and I’m very excited about being able to create my own tabs. I can’t wait to make some for my planner too!
I think the bookmarks would also make a great little gift with Mother’s Day right around the corner. With this paper, it’s cute enough you could leave it how it is or embellish it with a little message.
