Thank you to Paper Pumpkin for providing this Simply Snowflake Box, complete with everything I needed to create my very own holiday cards and gift tags!
Let’s stop a minute to appreciate that Procrastinator Brenna (my not- so- superhero name) has her Christmas cards done as of December 1st!!!!!! This may not be a big deal to most, but for me it is huge. Like, wait a minute, I might actually have it together this year. Ok, I won’t get to ahead of myself. I still have 24 days to complete a very long list, but what a relief to have cards and gift tags done.
This was all made possible because of this Simply Snowflake Paper Pumpkin box. I know I have only been doing this for a short time, so it is subject to change. But, this is my FAVORITE box! I couldn’t wait to jump in and start creating.
I love the colors that they chose for this kit. I’m sure you aren’t surprised, it’s the same color that is used throughout my website. I was so excited to have these cards to give out this year, but I’m also very happy to add these stamps and ink to my collection. I know I will be using them for a long time because I think the words in the greeting stamp is just perfect!
I’m really just starting out doing more paper crafts, cards and stamping especially. I’m so glad I found out about Paper Pumpkin. Not only am I building up my supplies each month, but I’m getting a little practice. I’m learning that in Cardmaking or Scrapbooking layering is a big thing, and probably the thing I struggle with the most.
With this card for example, I think the snowflake alone is pretty cute. I would have never thought to add the layers of stamps and the other cute touches like rhinestones and twine. Adding those little things takes this card to a whole new level! The card goes from looking cute to amazing, and people really feel like you are giving them something special and unique, with this handmade card.
Sometimes when they have extra Paper Pumpkin boxes they will put the supplies on sale on the Stampin’ Up! website. I will be on the lookout, because I would love to have more of this box!
I look forward to each month’s project so much! Since crafting has kind of become a job for me with this blog, when I get the box it is like my little crafting escape away from my usual crafting. If that makes sense….
Do you make your own holiday cards? Any tips for a newbie to card making?

LOVE IT!!!! I’ll feel like a newbie card maker, but I find that I always look to music, pinterest or nature for inspiration!

That is a great idea, Tyra!

I love papercrafting and card making. I didn’t get to make my own cards this year but I have in the past. This kit looks awesome! The cards are so pretty.

I don’t usually make homemade cards, but I do send out family Christmas cards… which I am WAY behind on this year for the first time ever. Yikes! Very cute card though.

I love these!! They are so cute. I usually get my Christmas cards printed off somewhere, just because I always run out of time to make them myself, but these look like they’d be so easy to do!
