What was I thinking? While Eli was gone I should have read a book, laid around and caught up on some internet time. Those are the things I don’t get to do while he is home. But, no, I cleaned his room and sorted out stuff we need to give to Goodwill. Organized some stuff around the house. Tried to grind up a pork shoulder to make ground pork (A complete mess! Derrick makes it look so easy) I think I need a do over. I promise next time Eli has a grandma day I will do things only Brenna is interested in.
I did finish a sewing project that I didn’t quite get done before we left for the beach. My intentions were to make a small purse and wallet that would be easier to carry on vacations. Well in the midst of trying to get everything else done, it didn’t get finished. So when I picked the project back up today you couldn’t say my heart was really in it. But I finished it and of course I won’t carry it without being happy with it. So when do you throw in the towel on a project? I can’t stand leaving things undone but was this worth my time and effort? I struggle with knowing what to do in that situation. I feel like it is a waste if I don’t finish but isn’t it also a waste if I don’t use it? Does this happen to anyone else?
